Our Facial and Reconstructive Services
Ear, nose, and throat specialists (otolaryngologists) diagnose and treat the full spectrum of conditions involving the ears, face, lips, neck, and nose. Facial plastics and reconstruction are a part of otolaryngology that is divided into two categories?cosmetic and reconstructive.
Cosmetic facial plastic surgery works to enhance the appearance of your features and facial structures. This includes common procedures like chin and cheek implants, eye lifts, face lifts, facial wrinkle correction, liposuction, and rhinoplasty. Our ENT surgeons have trained extensively to perform these procedures.
Reconstructive plastic surgery is performed for those with conditions that may have been present since birth, like cleft lips and palates, birthmarks, protruding ears, or a crooked smile that may affect function. Reconstructive surgery is also used following accidents, burns, trauma, or previous surgery.
Commonly treated conditions include:
- Facial asymmetry
- Facial signs of aging
- Facial trauma
- Head and neck cancer defects
- Intra nasal deformity
- Nasal deformity
- Skin cancer
Our expert physicians will assess your unique concerns and create a personalized treatment plan focused on your lifestyle and your reconstructive needs.
Our Plastics & Reconstruction Treatments
No two plastics and reconstruction treatments look the same. Our patient-centered care means we are focused on what we can do for you, and how we can help you feel like yourself once more. As you meet with our ENT plastics and reconstructive specialists, they will get to know you, allowing them to craft personalized plans and innovative surgeries that best meet your needs.
Septoplasty, or reconstructive septal surgery, is a surgery performed to straighten the bone and cartilage that divides the space between your two nostrils (the septum). Crooked (deviated) septums are common, and when they’re severe a deviated septum can reduce your airflow, making it difficult to breathe through one or both sides of your nose.
A septoplasty will reposition your septum to the middle of your nose. Your ENT surgeon may trim, replace, and reposition your nasal septum by working through incisions inside your nose to restore your breathing.
Our ENT surgeon provides a range of plastic surgery procedures, including:
- Botox and derma fillers - both cosmetic and to treat migraines
- Brow lifts
- Cheek augmentation
- Chin augmentation
- Ear surgery
- Eyelid surgery
- Facelifts
- Fillers – cosmetic and for volume restoration
- Lip enhancements - augmentation and lip lifts
- Neck lift
- Nose surgery (rhinoplasty)
Your surgeon will help you determine which plastic surgery will work best for your appearance goals.
Scars form as our skin heals after surgery or an injury. Facial scars can impact one's confidence, as our faces are the first things people notice. Poor wound healing, pigmentation, or the orientation of your scars can impact how well your scar heals, and how it will look as it matures.
If your scar does not respond to topical ointment, steroid injections, cryotherapy, or pressure therapy, your ENT surgeon can perform revision surgery to alter the appearance of your scar.
Options include removing the scar formation with an incision or using skin grafts to promote healing.
