Shoulder replacement is one of the most reliable treatment options for improving function, reducing pain, and getting patients back to the things they love.
There are 2 types of total shoulder replacements:
- Anatomic Shoulder Replacement: we will replace the ball and socket of your joint with a similar ball and socket
- Reverse Shoulder Replacement: we will replace your shoulder with the ball in the socket position and the socket in the ball position. This replacement type is reserved for patients with shoulder arthritis in addition to rotator cuff tearing.
