Mobile Surgical Services
Rochester Regional Health’s Mobile Surgical Service aims to provide patients within long term care facilities with exceptional wound care prevention and treatment, bedside procedures, and education of facility nursing staff.
Our team works together to improve access to personalized, on-site care for residents across Rochester and surrounding areas. Our goal is to bring quality wound care to patients, as often as needed, allowing them to remain in the comfort of their space without the worry or cost of arranging transportation to an office.
- Wound care: sharp debridement, wound vac application treatment and recommendations for chronic, stagnating, and newly acquired wounds
- Laceration repair: acute laceration repair if available and post laceration care, including suture or staple removal, and treatment recommendations
- Biopsies: skin lesions or rash for diagnosis
- Lesion excision: excise skin lesions, skin tags, warts, cysts, keratoses, and more
- Cryotherapy: wart treatment, actinic keratosis treatment, irritated seborrheic keratosis treatment
- Abscess care: incision and drainage of abscess, hematoma, cyst, paronychia
- Cauterization: silver nitrate treatment to hypergranulation, pyogenic granuloma, angioma, and more
- Skin tear: evaluation, debridement, and treatment recommendations
- Drain removal: surgical drain removal, including penrose, JP, and more
