What is Virtual Urgent Care?
Virtual urgent care provides on-demand, virtual appointments for minor injuries and common illnesses with a Rochester Regional Health provider, 7 days a week. Visits are currently available Monday - Sunday, 7 am - 10 pm, for patients ages 2 and older, who are residents of New York State. There is no need to be a current patient or have a MyCare account.

A Virtual Urgent Care visit allows you to meet with a Rochester Regional Health provider remotely via video when you can't make it to your doctors or one of our Urgent Care locations. Like an in-person visit, a virtual visit can be made same-day, no scheduled appointment or MyCare account is required.
An Virtual Urgent Care visit is suggested for non-emergency conditions including:
- Aches and pains

Virtual Urgent Care is available 7 days a week, from 7:00am - 10:00pm.
Rochester Regional Health Virtual Urgent Care visits are covered under insurance as a telemedicine visit. Check with your insurance provider to see what your individual plan covers.
Following your visit, your provider can write you a prescription or refer you to a specialist for more care, if needed.
The after-visit summary (AVS) is available to patients via MyCare. A link will be sent to the patient's email following the visit.
For virtual urgent care visits, a provider will refer patients to any additional services needed. This may include:
- imaging such as X-rays
- blood work or urine tests
- swabs for cultures (i.e., COVID-19, influenza, strep throat)
The location and provider to which a patient is referred will depend on their primary care provider.
