POTSDAM, NY – The Canton-Potsdam Hospital Guild has made a $150,000 pledge to St. Lawrence Health Foundation’s Great Care, Right Here Fundraising Campaign to support the construction of the St. Lawrence Health Regional Care Pavilion at Canton-Potsdam Hospital (CPH).
“For years, CPH Guild volunteers have donated many hours, raising over $2.3 million to ensure excellent healthcare is available in our community. In recognition of this generous gift, CPH will honor the CPH Guild by placing their name on the new Gift Shop, greeting visitors warmly as they enter the Hospital’s main entrance, and standing as a testament to the importance of the Guild in the fabric of CPH history,” commented St. Lawrence Health President Donna McGregor.
“The CPH Guild Board was delighted to be able to support the construction of the Regional Care Pavilion at this level and continue our work to help transform healthcare in our community,” stated CPH Guild President Laurie Cappello.
Canton-Potsdam Hospital (CPH), in conjunction with St. Lawrence Health (SLH) and Rochester Regional Health, are in the midst of a significant facility modernization, which will help to sustain high-level healthcare services in our region. The facility improvements involve the construction of the Regional Care Pavilion, including a major expansion of the Emergency Department, the creation of single occupancy patient rooms, and a brand new Gift Shop, along with planning for an obstetrical expansion.
The new wing is being designed to enhance the family and visitor experience, providing comforting surroundings as they support their loved ones.
The SLH Foundation exists to raise funds for the sole benefit of patients served by Canton-Potsdam Hospital and Gouverneur Hospital.
