Tia Albro

Tia received her Associate's of Science in Nursing from Monroe Community College. She completed her Bachelor's degree in Nursing at Brockport State University and continued on to obtain a Master's degree as an Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioner at the University of Rochester. Tia has been employed at Rochester General Hospital for the last 30 years. She has worked in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit, Medical Intensive Care Unit, Post-Anesthesia Care Unit, Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit, the Emergency Department, as well as step-down units. Tia has been conducting research for the past 27 years at Rochester General Hospital. In 2000, Tia assumed the role of Director of the Center for Clinical Research. As Director, she oversees the entire administrative and clinical operations of the team and continues to spearhead the rapid growth of Sponsored Research at Rochester General. She has been involved in over 200 major drug, device, and biologics clinical trials for adult and pediatric inpatients and outpatients. She has assumed the role of Lead Coordinator and Sub-Investigator in a number of therapeutic areas, including: Critical Care, Trauma, Surgery, Cardiology, Immunology, Neurology, Hematology, Infectious Disease, Endocrinology, Urology, Gastroenterology, Oncology (cancer) and Primary Care. Tia holds certifications in numerous research databases, C.I.T.I, GCP, Biohazardous shipping, and ACLS. She is responsible as a lead team member in the development and implementation of CareConnect clinical research-related builds and functionalities. In addition to research, Tia is active as Chair of the APP Education Sub-Committee for Rochester Regional Health, and has been integral in developing an annual learning conference for APPs within the RRH System.
Patrica Noll, RN, BSN
Clinical Research Nurse / Lead Trial Coordinator
Patty graduated from Niagara University with a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing. She worked at Rochester General Hospital as a staff nurse in the Medical Intensive Care Unit for 14 years and then moved to Clinical Research, where she has been active as a Lead Coordinator for over 20 years. She holds certifications in numerous research databases, C.I.T.I, GCP, Biohazardous shipping, BLS and CareConnect clinical research training and implementation. Although Patty has participated in numerous trials and disciplines through the years, she brings a particular wealth of experience in Cardiology trials, including pharmacologic, device and registry trials.
Linda Link, RN, MSN
Clinical Research Nurse / Lead Trial Coordinator
Linda received her Associate's of Applied Science in Nursing and Liberal Arts in Science degrees from Monroe Community College. She received her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing and Master’s of Science in Nursing from Robert's Wesleyan College. She has been an employee at Rochester General Hospital for 12 years. She has worked as a staff nurse on the Cardiac Cath Lab unit, as a Case Manager/Community Health Nurse, and has worked as a Clinical Research Nurse for 8+ years. Linda has experience as both a Lead Coordinator and Sub-Investigator. She has participated in numerous adult and pediatric trials, including pharmacologic, device, registry and biologics, primarily in Cardiac, GI, Immunology, and Critical Care settings. She holds certifications in numerous research databases, C.I.T.I, GCP, Biohazardous shipping, and ACLS.
Kayla Malchoff, BS, CRA
Clinical Research Associate
Kayla received her Bachelor's of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Rochester Institute of Technology. Kayla brings experience as a patient-care technician and hospital scribe. She has proven invaluable in cardiac and radiology studies, where she has participated in screening and consenting patients for data collection studies, including the use of artificial intelligence, processing and shipping research specimens, entering data, and liaising between sponsor and coordinators. She holds certifications in numerous research databases, C.I.T.I, GCP, Biohazardous shipping, BLS and CareConnect clinical research functionalities.
Kari Pedreira
Clinical Research Administrator
Kari has over 15 years of experience as an Administrator in the research realm, most recently with immunological grant studies, where she was responsible for budgeting, data collection, spreadsheets, and management of day-to-day operations. Kari is C.I.T.I, GCP certified and trained in CareConnect clinical research functionalities. Kari brings a wealth of knowledge to her new position on our growing research team.
