Accreditation
Rochester General Hospital is proud to be nationally accredited by the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE). Our Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) program was accredited in November 2019. CPE training is a primary requirement for those pursuing professional chaplaincy in the clinical setting, and seeking board certification. Most healthcare, secular, and denominational settings that employ chaplains require CPE training.
The Rochester General Hospital CPE program is unique in Rochester, offering an evening/weekend format and an education focus tailored to meet not only ACPE standards but also to help students prepare for the competencies of board certification as a professional chaplain.
